Most note-taking apps open with a sign-up screen. You hand over an email address, your notes are copied to somebody else's server, and the useful features arrive behind a monthly subscription. Orbitex Mobile is built the other way round. Apps in this collection keep your content in a local database on the device, with no account to create and nothing uploaded in the background.

That choice has practical consequences rather than just philosophical ones. An app that never waits on a network opens instantly on the underground, on a plane, or on a patchy rural connection. There is no account to be caught in somebody else's data breach, because there is no account. There is no sync conflict to resolve, no session that expires at the wrong moment, and no reason for the app to run background jobs that drain your battery.

It also comes with an honest trade-off, and it is worth stating plainly: notes do not follow you between devices in version 1. Removing the server is exactly what removes the account, the subscription, and the tracking — and cross-device sync is the thing you give up in return. If your notes must appear on three devices at once, a cloud-based app is the better fit.
